Arva Flour Mill

Andy | Friday, December 14, 2012 | Best Blogger Tips

In business for 193 years and according to the sign they sell the best flour by a dam site.

Delivering corn directly from the farmer's field.

When there's work to be done even the owner does his share. See one more photo here.

  1. I just googled this place (after seeing that excellent truck on your other blog!) so now I can't use the "best flour by a damn site" quote (though I just did)

  2. 193 years!? That's older than I am. Yikes.

Seriously, this is a nice series of shots of a nice-looking place and I love the fact that the owner doesn't wait around crabbing when work needs to be done!

  3. This is a nice series, Andy! Looks like a nice place (and it's older than I am!). I also like the fact that the boss pitches in when there's work to be done!

  6. You find the most interesting small towns!
It is refreshing to see a small operation like this still going strong.

  7. Wow! The only mill I've ever seen is at a state park and they start it up from time to time to show us some history. Nice to see this one is still up and running.
