When I saw this communication tower in the farmer's field I could not resist the urge to photograph it.

    The silhouette against the sky is a powerful image. The tower looks very complex with lots of "stuff" on it.

    PS. I LOVE the title of your photo; one of my all-time favorite movies, and I use the same message "ET, phone home" when my recalcitrant adult children neglect calls!

    Interesting. I'm used to seeing lots of cell towers, but this is much different. I've seen something similar down in the Keys and I've always presumed it was part of a military installation.

    Beautiful sky, but my goodness that's quite an array! I wonder if there are some weather gadgets in there. The scaffolding alone is quite a statement.

    Looks like a captured NASA Pioneer 10 or Voyager 1 spacecraft.
