Signs - Grounded

Since the 1970's this land has been slated for another airport in the Greater Toronto Area. I'm linking to Lesley's Signs, Signs.

    1. It is a long time. The land is owned by the Federal Government and the plans are still in the works. It is just a matter of time.

  6. Farm land has been converted to other purposes for centuries. Acres of Iowa farm land, some of the riches on earth, are being paved over every year. Interesting sign.

  9. I had friends whose land was expropriated. Her father was still bitter up to his death about 10 years ago.

  10. Wow! I thought eugene Oregon held the record for long term planning. ( or dithering, depending which side of the development fence you sit on).

  13. In Berlin we were already supposed to have a new airport. It now won't be ready until 2017. Although I hope they won't close the old one, it's so convenient.
